South Africa’s Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour, the world’s largest individually timed cycle race, sees over 35 000 cyclists tackling a 109km route around Cape Town that is as spectacular as it is grueling. It’s our country’s biggest one-day sporting event and is fast becoming a major international draw card. I was up earlier than usual to capture the front runners cycling through picturesque Camps Bay.

Didn’t quite make the cut)) What do you think of my latest post?))
Beautiful race, and very cool pics!
I was also at Camps Bay – but muuuuch later – watching the jolly riders in the afternoon.
Thank you for doing a post on cycling and capturing the action so well! I’ve been a cyclist all of my life and am addicted to the imagery of cycling both still and moving. Great subject and work!
Thank you Dean, appreciate the comment))

Thanks))
I am myself a keen amateur cyclist. Nice-looking photos.

Stunning! Must be an amazing ride through that area.
It’s one of the most scenic cycle races in the world and pretty tough))

Beautiful pictures! Looks like a great place to hold a race.
It’s too beautiful))
Love the picture of the little girl most. I’ve lived in CPT for three years and a bit now, and still haven’t grabbed the courage to attempt the Argus.
That’s my daughter)) She makes a great subject, but sometimes she gets annoyed with me pointing the camera at her all the time))
Reblogged this on 8BIT.
Stunning! I am South African and it’s nice to see some beautiful pictures of my country (compared to the poverty usually portrayed by the media).
It’s exactly why I started this blog, to showcase the beautiful people and cultures South Africa has to offer)))
Looks like an amazing place to ride. Wish I could go there soon, looks like a really beautiful place.
We’ll welcome you with open arms)))
Nice pics!

Thanks for commenting))
Ah, what majestic photographs. My favorites are the black and white ones of the girl in the street and the bike shadows. The others are wonderful, of course. I enjoyed the slideshow! Thank you.
Thanks George, I really appreciate your feedback. The girl in the street is my daughter and favorite subject)) If you like the pics, please have a look at my other posts, thanks
