AfrikaBurn situated near Tankwa Town in the Karoo is a feast for the soul and the eyes and a festival not to be missed. Once a year, creatives gather a temporary city of art to express themselves through music, performances and art, then they burn it all down and dance around the flames. Modeled on the Burning Man Festival in the States, the event is based on giving and no commerce so there is no water supply and no food to buy.
For a photographer, it’s a never ending stream of visual porn and I actually had to force myself to put the camera away so I could take part in this amazing event. This is the first of a few albums, the second is here and for all the pics, please visit my Facebook Page
